Tempe Tweed Ride 2/18Posted: February 6, 2011
Tempe Bicycle Action Group will host its second Tweed Ride on Friday, Feb. 18. Riders of all types are invited to wear their favorite woolens – skirts, capes, and shawls for the ladies and tweed jackets, caps, and knickers for the gents – and to meet at the entrance to Tempe Beach Park, Mill Ave. & Rio Salado at 7:30 p.m. This nighttime ride will stop at a few public houses for food and pints. Tweed is the order of the day – it can be herringbone, twill or plain, plaid, or checkered. It’s a celebration of the Discovery Age of Cycling and an opportunity to show some sophistication and class. Tally Ho!
